weekend project...

last weekend took a break off from my part time work to get my car repaired... nothing serious anyway... a few broken parts need to be fixed... engine oil has past its due date... needed a change soon anyway before leaving for penang for my industrial training (internship)...

first of all... left power window bracket... gigi sudah patah satu... last friday went shopping for goodies at sparepart shop... the tauke accidentaly gave me the wrong bracket which meant for manual knob... mine is power window mar, got motor one mar... cannot fit lor...

went back to had it replaced with the correct one... changed it alone in the middle of the nite.... lolz... seriously not recommended if u planning to diy it alone... removing the bracket is pure headache... u need to remove the whole unit including the window... hence, u can either hold the window from falling over... or unbolt the screws to detach the frame from the door....

as u can see, there are 6 bolts u need to unscrew to remove the bracket... the other 2 more will be the top part attached to the window.... not to forget 3 more bolts holding the power window motor to the bracket....

its a tough battle... my hand and fingers endure multiple cuts due to sharp edges of the frame and inner metal door panel....

next up... ufo cabin light.... burn adi during my last visit to the workshop... mayb left it switched on for too long... replacing it was jz 5 minutes ordeal... nothing tough as it breaks down quite often... product kedai abang mar... macam tu lor... lolz....

retune AFR mixture... mechanic said my plugs are running white at idle and low rpm... in order to protect 'my precious', need to richen out the AFR so it wont cause further damage to my engine... so far havent check the color of my sparkies yet... hopefully would be ok yet wouldnt cause dramatic increase in fuel consumption...

change engine oil... this one another joke... jacked up my car, open the hood, removed the oil filler cap... later only i found out i dont have spanar size 17... i tried using locking playar to open it by force.... end up causing more damage to the bolt head... hence, project delayed till sunday nite after i get hold of a proper spanar from my friend...

previously was using shell helix mineral oil (yellow bottle) due to engine run-in... now i switched back to TOTAL semi-syn oil (15W50 viscosity)... i had a hard time deciding which i would go for, TOTAL semi-syn or MOTUL minerals... well, of coz semi-syn rulezz.... kekeke....
